Network Infrastructure Engineer (Data Centre)BankingHybrid: 1-2 days in West Yorkshire6 months+ (multi-year programme)£400 per dayIn short: Network Engineer with experience in Nexus Infrastructure required to join a large retail bank providing assistance to a third party data centre implementation. The role requires you to support the implementation, assist in upgradedelivery and schedule changes.Skills Required:* Knowledge of Cisco Network technology, Data Centre Network Infrastructure, Wide and Local Area Network skills (CCIE, CCNA, CCDP). Specific skills to include :-o Cisco Nexus 7000/5000/2000 hardware.o Cisco Nexus 9500o Various Cisco Catalyst platforms.* Proven track record in the delivery of network configuration changes on data centre Cisco networking technology.* Ability to analyse/design high level technical proposals which provide solutions to business requirements.* Ability to provide technical guidance to colleagues & third parties* Ability to identify and explain business benefits resulting from a technical strategy* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at a number of different levels both internally and externally.* Ability to present technical information at an appropriate level with good presentational skills* Excellent planning and co-ordination skills the ability to effectively prioritise and to work with a minimum of supervision* Working with stakeholders to maintain software/hardware currency on data centre network infrastructure.* Supporting out of hours change, weekday/weekend, on the network duties to include :-o Review of supplier technical change implementation plans.o Testing in support of change.o Co-ordination of testing with stakeholders.Resources could be based in West Yorkshire or London.Candidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.
