Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrically Biased)West Yorkshire Commutable from Huddersfield, Bradford, Selby, Leeds, Wakefield, Halifax, Tadcaster £40,000 + Overtime 4on 4off Days & Nights - 12 Hour ShiftsOur client is a leading fresh food processing & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a number of Multi-Skilled Engineers (Electrical Biased) to join theirexpanding team. An exciting opportunity join one of the top UK, blue-chip food manufacturers, supplying into all the major supermarketsRole & Responsibilities:*Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks and site repairs to assist operations in achieving maximum productivity and performance*Working on different production lines, producing a variety of different fresh & frozen food products*Conduct maintenance machinery schedules & PPMs and document *Carry out fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on all machinery & equipment*Working on such equipment as, roller, chain & belt conveyors, motors, gearboxes, inverters, packaging machinery, depositors, blast freezers, ovens, mixers, labellers, shrinkwrappers, palletisers, PLCs, refrigeration, site services*Project work - machine upgrades, modifications, & continuous improvement work*Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & maintenance daily*At the end of a shift be responsible for completing engineering logbook, to record stock removed from engineering stores, ensuring accurate stock control & auditingKnowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer and have served an accredited apprenticeship*Educated to a minimum City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering *PLC - electrical fault-finding skills*Beneficial to have worked in a food manufacturing environment *As a minimum must have come from a FMCG / fast-paced industry*Must have strong electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills - able to work on own initiative*Be a strong communicator, working closely with multiple discipline engineering & production teams*Attitude is everything, positive, enthusiastic, willing to train & develop*Must have excellent understanding of engineering systems, stores & PPM documentation*Any experience of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques a bonusShifts & Benefits Package:*Shift:-12hr Shifts - 4 Days / 4 Off / 4 Nights / 4 Off (7-7)*Salary:- £40,000 + Overtime*Benefits:- 25 Days Holiday, 8% Match Private Pension, Life Assurance, Staff Benefits Card, Share Save Scheme, Purchase Additional Holidays, Qualifications, Cycle-To-Work-Scheme Job Reference No: SE18900 / 534Suitable candidates should apply immediately by calling our Managing Consultant for this vacancy - Chris Gumm on or by sending your CV directly to him at We regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications.
