Job Description

IT Support AssistantLocation: West YorkshireSalary: DOECompany: A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels company.Role:Maintenance and support of IT systems across two sites:

  • 1st line telephone support of office and factory based users in a Windows domain, containing Windows 10 clients, Microsoft Office 2007-2016 Applications.
  • Support and maintenance of Antivirus, Exchange Email and other windows servers.
  • Support and maintenance of Apple Mac based users, deployment, updates, backup, network integration etc.
  • Remote Support of external based laptop users.
  • Support and deployment of business Smart Phones, with a focus on iOS devices.
  • Maintenance, deployment and planning of Network infrastructure, Servers, Printers, Switching equipment, Software auditing and Windows updates.
  • Maintaining backups (off and on site) of critical systems and data throughout the company.
  • Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of IT equipment, followed by the documenting of IT spending for review by Accounts department.
  • Creating and updating IT systems documentation and procedures for both internal use and audits.
  • Implementation and management of CCTV systems.
  • Any other duties required to fulfil role requirements
    • Requirements:
  • Experience of diagnosing hardware/software faults
  • Able to talk about technology in simple terms
  • A logical thinker
  • Like to keep up to date with the latest technology
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • GCSE / A Level in English, Maths or an IT Qualification
