Job Description

Our client, based in West Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker on a temporary contract for two months. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Offer accommodation and housing-related support for people 16+ with multiple or complex needs
  • Managing a caseload and maintaining regular contact with them all virtual technology and, when required, socially distant face to face meetings
  • Supporting clients to become Tenancy Ready and make a sustainable move to longer-term housing
  • Working constructively with clients through Support and Risk Management Plans to address their needs
  • Ensuring that clients are safeguarded and protected from abuse in their home and in the community
  • Encouraging clients to behave in ways that do not create neighbourhood nuisances or are considered anti-social
  • Working closely with the learning and education team to support and encourage clients to engage in skills courses
  • Providing a supportive atmosphere for clients, encouraging feedback on the service, welcoming complaints and responding appropriately
  • Encouraging and supporting clients to address their health needs and improve their health and well-being
  • Experience required:
  • Provided support to services users with complex needs previously
  • Minimum two years’ experience within the sector
  • Skills, knowledge and expertiserequired:
  • Able to conduct risk assessment and support plans to a high level
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS dated within three years
  • Able to build good working relationships with service users and external organisations

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, core hours are from 10:00am - 3:00pm
