At the request of our Social Workers and to support us in our quest to improve we have redesigned how we deliver our Childrens Social CareServices and have established new Duty and Assessment teams, Child and Family teams and Children in Care teams. Our teams are headed by a Team Manager and supported by a dedicated none case holding Practice Supervisor and Court Consultant. We understand thatSocial Work is not easy and that the challenges you face daily are difficult and emotional which is why we guarantee to ensure caseloads remain manageable in both number and complexity. About the roleAs a Level 3 Social Worker in this service, youwill play a key role in managing long term child in need, child protection and care proceedings cases. The caseload will include varying degrees of court work. The transition points from this service are:1. Closure2. Step down to Early Help Services3. Stepup to Children in Care ServicesBased at Keighley Town Hall, teams based here cover a very diverse geographical area from urban towns to rural villages. As well as working with families within the urban towns you could find yourself visiting families in theWorld Heritage Site of Saltaire, or you may be supporting a sibling group in the beautiful historic village of Haworth made famous by the Bronte Sisters. We also work with families in the contemporary Spa Town of Ilkley. The districtBradford is a city whichoffers a richness of culture and diversity; it is the fourth largest Metropolitan District in the country and home to a population of 534,300 residents. Bradford has the largest percentage of population under the age of 16 outside London; over 30% of the populationis under the age of 20.
