Bradford is one of the most diverse areas in England with over 37% of the population from BAME groups.An exciting opportunityhas arisen for the post of a 2 year Early Education Access & Take Up Worker within our Prevention and Early Help Service. The right candidate will be responsible for helping to improve the overall take up of the 2 year early education entitlement across ourdistrict. We know that the earlier a child starts to learn the better they tend to do in school and later in life, which is why early education and childcare is so important. The uptake of the 2-year-old free early years entitlement is below average in Bradfordand urgent action is required to ensure that our most vulnerable children are supported to access their entitlement.We are looking to recruit a friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team and we want to hear from you if you; Have lots ofenthusiasm for improving outcomes for children and their families Have excellent innovation skills to join us on our journey to excellence Have the ability to work and contribute to a team whilst working with own initiative Have a can do attitude and a flexibleapproach when the need arisesThe main responsibilities for the role are; To make a positive contribution to the prevention and early help offer, in particular through universal and targeted activities to increase take up of 2 year early education. To targetsupport and advice to families in circumstances where children/groups are more vulnerable to lower take up of early education/universal services and increase take up of appropriate funded childcare places.Recognising the priorities of the service some postholders will be required to be competent (spoken and written) in Czech, Slovakian or Polish or other community languages.The person we are looking for must have; Evidence of having previously spoken fluently to members of the public in order to meet the advancedthreshold level outlined under Special Knowledge above. Recent paid or voluntary experience working with communities, babies, children, young people and/or families. Experience of directly delivering information, brokerage and/or support services to supportchildren, young people and their families. An understanding of Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young person.
