Job Description

Role: Crane Service Engineer -Preferred with OEM experience for ship, offshore, mobile harbour or construction cranes.Location: West Yorkshire, role with require occasional international travel.Salary: £40,000- 60,000 Negotiable dependent of experience / Vehicle + Tablet + Mobile + Generous Performance related bonus scheme + Training providedProfile:A great opportunity for an experienced field service engineer to join an well-established field service engineering team. Who will be involved in the service, emergency repair, maintenance and upgrading of various types of cranes from mobile cranes, ship, oil rig and harbour. Working for a well-established, reputable business, with work local and overseas. Largely across blue chip customer base.With the opportunity to undergo further training and development as well as realist career progression prospects.Role:

  • Covering all aspects crane systems servicing and planned maintenance schedules.
  • Maintenance and repair to all types and makes of ship, oil rig and mobile cranes.
  • Completing general remedial works scopes.
  • Performing local and overseas field installation
  • Test & inspection
  • Troubleshooting electrical/ Mechanical systems.
  • Commissioning
  • Start up and repairs
  • Document all services carried out.
  • Liaison with customers, contractors and head officeBe willing to work away when called upon.
    • Experience required:
  • Minimum of 5 years working within the crane industry
  • A full driving license is essential
  • Apprentices served in either electrics/ mechanics or hydraulics/mechanics.
  • Experience of commissioning and fault finding n electrotechnical and/or hydro mechanical systems.
  • Willing to travel abroad and work on a none rotary pattern.
  • Be able to work on their own initiative as well as within a team.
  • Possess the ability to read schematics and engineering drawings then translate them into practice.

  • An in depth knowledge of preventive maintenance
  • Experience working with marine engineering applications.
  • Crane industry or MacGregor/ Liebherr/ Hagglund/IHI/MHT/Tsuji/LMG trained
