Conveyancing ParalegalConveyancing ParalegalLeeds, West Yorkshireto £27,000 plus bonus and great benefits.Leading law firm is one of the UKs pre-eminent providers of multi-jurisdiction collections and recoveries solutions for traditional and challenger banks, building societies, debt purchasers and loan servicers, their team have worked in the specialist debtand asset recovery arena for over 40 years and advise and support clients with mortgage rehabilitation, late arrears management and pre-litigation collections as well as secured mortgage recoveries and conveyancing.They require a Conveyancing Paralegal to work in the area of residential repossessions (freehold, leasehold, shared ownership) on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office, Leeds city centre). Your duties are to manage and progress the sale of a portfolioof repossessed residential properties (Freehold, Leasehold & Shared Ownership titles), ensuring that clients receive pro-active, consistent and efficient levels of service. Your responsibilities are to handle your own caseload of files from initial instructionthrough to completion of each sale and/or closure of our file, under the supervision of the Team Manager, undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision. In particular:- Matter creation on Casenet; obtaining and processing Official Copy documentsand title deeds, reviewing property titles, identifying any issues that may delay a sale or have an adverse effect upon the sale price, and reporting these to our client (or their key suppliers) together with your commercially focussed recommendation on howto address each issue.You will liaise with other parties with an interest in each property (such as freeholders, management companies, housing associations), keep them suitably informed as to the progress of each sale and ensure that any required items are received in good timeso as not to delay a sale, issue contracts for sale and supporting documents to purchasers / solicitors, liaise with them, address any enquiries in order to achieve the earliest possible exchange of contracts, to effect appropriate checks with clients (ortheir key suppliers), ensure that contracts are exchanged at the best sale price and that all required documents and invoices are received in good time to effect completion, distribute sale proceeds in accordance with the requirements of both our client andthe Law of Property Act 1925 and ensure that the invoice for services are deducted from the sale proceeds if a sale completes, or presented to the appropriate person if a matter is to be closed prior to a sale.This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading law firms in Leeds City centre with a salary to £27,000 plus bonus.Benefits include bonus, 25 days holiday +BH, (buy/sell), flexible working, life assurance( x4), pension, social budge, ambition budget (£1k), optical, dentalThis role is commutable from Barnsley, Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, York, Selby, Harrogate, Wetherby, Sheffield, Halifax, Skipton, Keighley and HuddersfieldApply nowKellan Group (including all of our brands, Berkeley Scott, RK and Quantica) are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
