Job Description

The Caseworker will actively engage with individual participants, ensuring that through the delivery of a multi-channel, multi-agency and multi-place service delivery model, the participant is enabled and empowered to successfully complete their personaljourney into, and progression within the working environment.Key Tasks:

  • Named single point of contact for coordinating and sequencing services on behalf of their individual participants.
  • Working with participants to progress them on their journey towards employment and overcoming their work, skills health and personal circumstances barriers to ultimately support participants into sustainable work.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with participants, enabling them to make well informed choices and appropriately diagnose their areas of support, leading to the joint development of an action plan of support intervention
  • Utilisation of a multi-channel platform where, through a range of digital, video and telephony capability, participants are provided with the flexibility to decide how, when and the frequency with which they engage.
  • Utilising IngeusHub as a single point of digital access for all participants
  • Responsible for making the right connections with local services, through a multi-agency approach, (supported by the Partnership & integration Manager and any relevant Caseworkers with Special Interest) to coordinate a focused package of support for eachparticipant.
  • Working from local hubs, and pop-up offices in their community or alongside integrated services (e.g. housing, health and primary care centres) in order to increase service accessibility.
  • Working within and case conferencing with the Personal Support Team (PSTs) dedicated to each participant.
  • Promote the additional choices available to participants via the local Social Prescription Network, demonstrating individualised engagement and motivational skills appropriate for each participant.
  • Able to support participants with appropriate prioritisation of solutions for personal circumstances, skills, health as well as employability
  • May be required to facilitate groups on an ad hoc basis.
  • Will provide in work support, as required, for participants with high intensity support needs.
  • To ensure that all required entry to the Ingeus database is accurate and compliant and documentation relating to the participant is completed and maintained in an accurate, compliant, timely and respectful manner.
Person Specification
  • Knowledge of the UK criminal justice is highly desirable
  • An adept communicator with the ability to persuade, influence and listen to others
  • Able to display strong motivational, customer service and organisational skills
  • Be resilient, target focused and able to work under pressure
  • Attentive to detail with a strong focus on quality
  • Competent in the use of all technology with excellent IT skills, including social media
  • Be able to apply lateral thinking and problem-solving techniques to a range of often challenging situations
  • A team player with high expectations of oneself and others
  • Able to work under pressure and on own initiative, regularly lone working
  • Be empathetic, non-judgmental, flexible and adaptable
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the local area and community, including available provision
