Job Description

Primary school Caretaker The successful candidate will support the delivery of teaching and learning by ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security are always maintained Aswell as ensuring upkeep of the school grounds is managed. The Caretaker willbecome a trusted key holder for the school and expected to carry out any necessary duties that this may involve call out in the event alarms are triggered.The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working as a school caretaker or site manager
  • Have good knowledge of the health and safety needs of the school
  • Be able to liaise with outside agencies to implement new equipment and systems in school
  • Be able to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Have a DBS on the update service
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Making sure the highest standards of safety and wellbeing are implemented
  • Working with outside agencies to implement new equipment and systems in school
  • Being a key holder, opening and sometimes closing the school gates and premises
  • Undertaking general maintenance tasks
