Job Description

Our thriving, longstanding client, a fashion e-tailer is looking for an Assistant Buyer to become an integral part of their team. The Assistant Buyer will be working on ladies fashion.The day to day responsibilities of the Assistant Buyer will be to:

  • Run the Critical Path, ensuring everyone is on understanding of deadlines and deliveries
  • Manage the samples, ensuring they are in the right place at the right time for the high amount of photo shoots
  • Develop strong and valuable relationships with the suppliers, working together to develop high quality ranges
  • Attend trade shows when possible
  • Travel for inspiration and shopping trips and sample shopping
  • Proactively forecast and fixate on upcoming trends, colours, patterns, shapes, materials
  • Conduct competitor research and analysis
  • Work closely with the other teams within the company including Merchandisers, to ensure suitable amount of product is bought, and the Ecommerce teams, giving them the accurate, relevant information for each product
    • This is an admin based role with the view for the ideal candidates to thrive and be responsible for buying their own ranges within a short period of time in the business, so is an ideal role for a Buying Assistant looking for their next step.The Assistant Buyer will be assisting with developing ranges under the advice of the Buyer, whom they will be reporting into for this role.
