Job Description

WHO ARE WE*** This is a part-remote role, average on 2 days/month from office in Bradford - West Yorkshire ***15ten15 are currently recruiting for a Android Developer on behalf of a fast growing technology organisation based in Bradford.WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR*** This is a part-remote role, average on 2 days/month from office ***Reporting to the Product Developer you will be responsible for the solutions that you will work on but also contribute to the efforts of the rest of your team through discussions and code review.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Build new features and tools for the software.
  • Participates in product development and technical ideas sessions with other developers and business colleagues.
  • Engage with the code review process.
  • Write modular, maintainable, performant and secure code with guidance where needed
  • Work under your own steam and try things but ask for help in a timely manner when needed
  • Have the ability to identify and repair bugs in software.
    • THE IDEAL CANDIDATEA degree in Computer Science or similar is not mandatory however the successful Candidate will be enthusiastic about ongoing learning.Skills Required:
  • Two years prior experience developing software, however guidance in the role will be given to help you substantially develop your skills
  • Coding experience in Kotlin and Java.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK.
  • Understanding of MVVM architecture.
  • Familiarity with Jetpack components.
  • Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs using Retrofit.
  • Understanding of Clean Architecture and SOLID principle
  • Experience with unit testing, perhaps TDD.
  • Experience of code version control.
  • You’ll have knowledge about IT from a software perspective and understand technically how the Internet works.
  • You’ll know at least one programming language to the extent of being able to build a basic application (e.g. including user authentication, database storage, presentation etc.).
