Job Description

My client is a leading provider of a wide range of analytical testing services. The role will involve undertaking physical and chemical analysis following validated methods and SOPs for incoming raw materials, in-process bulk materials, finished products. You will also be responsible for performing detailed chemical analysis of customer samples/non-conformances using laboratory equipment.The Role:

  • Undertaking analysis of raw materials, intermediates and final product, using analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, IR and UV Spectroscopy
  • Supporting the team in routine, non-routine analysis, method reviews, problem solving and trouble shooting
  • Lead method development and validation to industry standards for GC / GC-MS and HPLC
  • Method optimisation and validation for new and existing methods
  • Ensure maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Reviewing and checking technical documentation, standard operating procedures and policies
  • The Candidate:
  • Candidates will be degree-level qualified in Chemistry or a related subject
  • Previous experience of working in laboratories using analytical techniques such as HPLC or GC would be desirable
  • Additionally, experience in method development would also be advantageous
  • Previous experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory equipment, such as HPLC and GC would be advantageous
