Job Description

Sales ManagerRoboticsNational Role (West Midlands Based)On behalf of our client, an Internationally renowned Robotics company at the forefront of Worldwide manufacturing, we are seeking a Robotic Sales Manager to join their UK team during a time of rapid business growth.With a focus on business development and sales of robots directly to end users, this role will also have responsibility for the education sector, managing sales to R&D facilities and Universities, as well as being the HVMC liaison.This position is a strategic role and is to develop new business relationships and generate sales growth. This is very much a hunting activity and will be in direct support of our clients capability of today, and tomorrow.The role will include the following core responsibilities:

  • Manage the sale of robots and other general automation products as needed to end users.
  • On-boarding & Business Development of new customers.
  • Determine customer requirements for internal development, develop support solutions and suggest products/training and development that fit the specific needs of the business.
  • Prepare documentation for internal order processing and manage initial customer communications after order.
  • Articulate the companys strengths and capabilities in both written and verbal formats to win new customers.
  • Work within the business to develop the company systems capability offer and work with the management team on company strategy when required.
In addition:
  • Maintain the existing CRM database (Salesforce).
  • Produce monthly sales forecasts and status reports on all potential sales.
  • Understand the latest products and technologies related to the business to enhance customer engagement.
  • Build on customer relations and encourage customer feedback to identify how to improve customer satisfaction.
To support this role, the successful candidate will ideally have:
  • A broad industry/manufacturing knowledge, understanding that the typical automation solution sales process should be consultative.
  • Knowledge of selling capital goods (ideally robots and/or automation products) and/or selling to education/R&D or Universities.
  • Candidates with an Aerospace sector awareness are also welcomed.
  • A proven track record in technical sales with a proven sales management record.
  • Proven record of developing and maintain a sales pipeline, effectively questioning and capturing data within the sales process.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce CRM would be advantageous.
  • A strong work ethic, always driving for the highest possible standards and quality.
