Job Description

PMO Analyst / Co-ordinator - Software - Project Management - Home working and West MidlandsOur client, a highly successful and growing software company, is looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst / Coordinator to support the PMO function across a variety of PMO activities.This is a full time role but you could work remotely from home three to four days per week. You would need to be able to come into our clients Solihull office in the West Midlands for one to two days per week.The PMO Analyst will focus attention on PMO housekeeping activities such as maintenance of Demand Management Forms, Change Requests, Project Tracker Logs, RAID Logs various reports and MI data, and the follow through of specific activities with the ProjectManagement team and others within the organisation to ensure that process is being followed and that the PMO has the appropriate and sufficient information to maintain oversight.The PMO Analyst will also provide support for project resource coordination and the creation of project schedulesKey Responsibilities

  • Build up and maintain a good working knowledge and awareness of the PMO Framework for project deployment, and all PMO processes (e.g Demand Management, Change Control, RAID Management etc..) assisting with PMO work flow activities for these processes asrequired.
  • Document PMO process and develop guideline documents to assist Project Managers in their roles
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers through the sharing of PMO information and methodologies
  • Identification and collation of MI and other data for the production of reports and briefings.
  • Follow up with Project Managers and other project staff on various mandatory housekeeping activities ( e.g completion of information in PMO Logs / progress tracking / reporting etc.).
  • Perform spot checks and audits on PMO process to ensure that it is being followed.
  • Perform other PMO tasks as directed by the Senior PMO Analyst and the PMO Manager.
Assist the Senior PMO Analyst with maintenance of overall resource scheduling across all departments, to ensure that all project activity is appropriately planned and resource.The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
  • A year or more of commercial experience in a PMO or Project Management role
  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Project plus very strong Excel skills
  • Broad IT technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • A good general understanding or experience of working in software development and software deployment
  • An eye for detail
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised with good prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Takes pride and responsibility for quality of work
