Job Description

Our client, based the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Planned Team Leader on a temporarycontract for three months, they’re then looking to take the successful candidate onto a permanent contract.The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is £26.22 per hour on a PAYE basis (including holiday pay) or £30.26 per hour via an umbrella company and the permanent salary is £45,000 per annum + benefits.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience managing trades in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • To be a pro-active and responsible member of the team leading the delivery aspects of the trades team and to contribute to the successful delivery and development of our overall business strategy
  • Develop, promote and embed a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation raising the profile of Health and Safety and raising awareness through positive engagement with management teams, employee representatives and individual employees
  • Responsibility for all Planned Maintenance including Voids across all geographical areas
  • Responsible and accountable for delivery of all statutory works ensuring that delivery of this service complies with all policy procedure and regulation and that everyone on the team meets all statutory obligations
  • Lead the Planned team and Voids team to ensure the identification and implementation of good practice and innovative maintenance and improvement initiatives
  • Ensure continuous development of information technology, including identifying, recommending and the implementation of new technology, also liaising with the ICT Team to identify information requirements and to address faults requiring rectification
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring a flexible, productive, coordinated, and efficient response is provided to customers on a wide range of services covering property planned maintenance and void works
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Completion of multi skilled in-house training with either an additional nationally recognised trade qualification or an approved certificated qualification
  • Proven management experience
  • Practical and proven working experience of multi trades (planned kitchens, bathrooms, Shower rooms and void properties)
  • The ability to promote and drive a service excellence culture, improving efficiency in system, performance, and outputs for stakeholders across the Group.
  • The ability to influence, negotiate, manage, and resolve conflict, demonstrating qualities, traits and demeanor that commands credibility and respect
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations, construction industry safety regulations, relevant British standards, and codes of practice
  • A Full UK Driving License
