Please visit strive . co . uk for additional roles across engineering, production, warehouse & transport operations.Electrical Maintenance Engineer £46,500 + BeneftisBirminghamOur client is a Global PLC and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experience Engineer as they look to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) at their site in Coleshill on a 4on, 4off basis (2 days / 2 nights - 12 hour shifts).This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work in a state of the art facility with a real pathway for development and progression.The Role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

  • Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability
  • Support the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving
  • Maintain, repair and perform evaluations on electrical apparatus, motors, wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment per electrical codes and standards
  • Maintain, repair and perform evaluations on refrigeration systems, building infrastructure and material handling equipment
  • Complete work order tasks and ensure all performed work is logged into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) daily
  • Operate cutting torch and other welding apparatus to cut or join metal parts
  • Monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems, ensuring they are following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Utilize onsite motorized lift as needed while operating, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment
  • At times work at heights of up to 30 metres
The ideal Candidate for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
  • Qualified in Electrical Engineering with Mechanical Engineering experience (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with automation
  • Apprenticeship trained would be a big advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy being in a team
  • Willingness to learn and improve your skills
  • Comfortable with the cold - You will sometimes do this in a freezer environment - approximately minus 20 degrees - full PPE including coats, hats and boots given.
