Apply now Job no: 543351 Work type: Full time Site: RedditchCategories: IT Location: Worcestershire Business Area: Halfords Support CentreWant to be a pivotal member of our Data Governance and Data Management teamLook no further!As our Data Governance Lead reporting to the Data Governance and Data Management Manager, you will be entrusted with the critical task of upholding the accuracy, coherence, and reliability of our data assets.Your role will shape the enhancement of data quality processes, institute a Data Quality Framework, establish industry-leading practices, and drive collaborative endeavours across multifunctional teams to propel data quality initiatives.Your Impact:Data Quality Management:

  • Pioneer and execute data quality standards, policies, and cutting-edge practices to ensure data integrity organization-wide.
  • Construct data quality metrics and surveillance mechanisms to promptly identify and address data quality concerns.
  • Partner with data stakeholders and stewards to define data quality protocols and data refinement strategies.
  • Spearhead the introduction of Data Quality Kite Marking across Halfords data landscape.
  • Conduct routine audits and assessments to gauge data quality and pinpoint avenues for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to assess data quality measurement and its internal auditing scope.
  • Develop training programs to empower employees with Data Quality Best Practices and standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Dissect data quality trends, patterns, and anomalies to discern root causes and extract actionable insights.
  • Champion problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Curate and manage a Data Quality Log to document data quality hitches, collaborating with the business to prioritize and address these issues.
  • Capture Project Data Quality concerns and disseminate them throughout the organization.
  • Formulate reports and dashboards to communicate data quality metrics and advancements to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Team up with business analysts and data engineers to outline data quality prerequisites for integration and migration projects.
Process Enhancement:
  • Continuously scrutinize and amplify data quality processes and frameworks to align with industry pinnacles.
  • Spot prospects for automation and deploy tools and technologies to streamline data quality workflows.
  • Lead cross-functional squads in devising and executing data quality enhancement initiatives and projects.
  • Forge connections with multifunctional teams encompassing data governance, IT, and business units, uniting data quality initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Emerge as a data quality authority, guiding and assisting stakeholders and project teams.

  • Proven track record in data quality management and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance Frameworks and DAMA DMBoK, comprehending the role of Data Quality within this ecosystem.

  • Proficiency in data quality tools and technologies (e.g., data profiling tools, data cleansing tools).
