Here at CBS we use data to help management make informed decisions, understand our customer behaviour and ensure we are taking the right steps to drive change.During year 1 with us you can look forward to getting involved variety of areas including IT, Finance and Credit Risk. You will get to immerse yourself in the following types of tasks:- Data Quality initiatives· Supporting the implementation of the Data Governance framework in the society· Data Engineering and creation of data pipelines· Reporting & Data Analysis across a range of sources (e.g. relational and dimensional databases, file systems, semi-structured and unstructured data, models, spreadsheets, OLAP cubes)· Visualisation & generation of Dashboards (Power BI, Cognos, SAS VAAR)· Process reviews and development of financial models and EUC solutionsYear 2 will be based in one department, fully engrossing yourself in long term projects, fulfilling the role of a Data & Insight specialist.Training and development is important here at the society. You will start your employment with an induction where you will meet your fellow programme members. We invest from day one, you’ll attend development days and take on both individual and group projects that allow you to network and build strong relationships across the Society.This training will not only help you get the all-round skills you need but it will be your experience that will really make the difference.Start date September 2021About The CompanyAbout YouYou’ll need a quantitative degree, such as- Maths- Statistics- Data Science- Computer Science- Physics- EngineeringIt would be beneficial if you would have an understanding of or experience in:- Modelling techniques to build and train appropriate credit risk and data science models.- Programming languages including SQL, Python, Matlab, SAS or R which could include the use linear and logistic regression and decision trees.You are required to have a minimum of a 2:1 or a Masters qualification achieved within the last 3 yearsAn inquisitive nature is best suited for these roles; someone who wants to delve into the data and understand the underlying processes, how it can be used and manipulated to generate reliable insights. Someone who can be creative with data, showcase it in exciting and different meaningful waysWe are looking for problem solvers, people who are able to interpret, analyse and then communicate complex data to an audience at varying levels of technical proficiency.The Recruitment ProcessWe hold a robust recruitment process for all of our graduate programmes.
