Business Development Manager Midlands£40,000 plus bonusOur client is an established PPE company with over 30years experience specialising in chemical containment and spill response. Beginning their journey in the UK, they now operate globally and have continued to expand their business, employing over 200 people worldwide. Over the past 12months they have continued to adapt their UK operation as they have navigated the current challenges and now seek a Business Development Manager to further develop their Midlands territory.With a strong focus on new business, almost all the successful candidate’s time will be spent engaging the end user to increase demand with new prospects whilst the remaining time will be spent with any existing customers. Key responsibilities will include multi-site visits to offer product training and company presentations, providing solutions to customer issues, implementing trials, creating, and submitting tenders and negotiating/agreeing favourable terms of business.The individual will have a proven track record in securing new business and increasing sales within existing accounts. A full working knowledge of the needs of end users as well as a commercial awareness of the needs of the business is essential, as is managing budgets, delivery of sales revenue, margin restraints and logistical challenges. Candidates who have worked for a manufacturer or distributor of industrial capital equipment would be of particular interest such as; cleaning equipment, floor polishing equipment, fume extraction, PPE products, waste management products, compactors, racking and shelving solutions or similar. However the main focus is being able to engage with and understand industrial customers, their buying approach and needs. Required skills
