Job Description

Medical Receptionist Sector: HealthcareLocation: Kensington, Central LondonJob Type: TemporaryStart Date: ASAPDuration of the temporary role: This is expected to for 2 weeks initially, with an extension should all go well. (Temp to Perm may be considered).Working days and hours: Tuesday 1pm-6:30pm, Wednesday 8am-6:30pm, Thursday 8-2:30, Friday 8am-6:30pmPay Rate: £11.68 paye inclusive of holiday per hour or £13.20 per hour UmbrellaSystem Knowledge Required: System OneSmart Card: DesirableDuties:

  • Providing reception and administration support within a Medical Practice
  • Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assisting with general queries in person, via telephone and email
  • Answering phone calls and dealing with email correspondence
  • Booking appointments
  • Processing new patient registrations
  • Dealing with prescription requests
  • Logging and updating patient medical records where required
  • Keeping the reception area tidy
  • Keeping computer records up to date, and filing using office equipment such as printers, photocopiers, and fax machines
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • SystmOne knowledge (Essential)
  • Previous experience with working in an GP Surgery (desirable)
  • Good communication skills - able to converse clearly and effectively with patients, medical professionals and members of the public
  • Good level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Willing to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Good typing skills and experience with Microsoft office
