Job Description

Are you looking for a new challenge If so, Veritas Education have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in the Hammersmith and Fulham area. You will have the experience and enthusiasm to provide excellent supportto children with SEN.Veritas are currently working with a prestigious secondary school based in Hammersmith and Fulham who are looking for a dedicated Graduate SEN LSA to join their team. The school has established a unique curriculum to ensure every student develops the skillsthey need to lead a fulfilling and successful life.The school is an outstanding Catholic school with high academic grades. Situated in nice grounds, the facilities are of a high standard, with onsite swimming pool, gym and astro-turf.What the school can offer:

  • Training opportunities throughout the year to build understanding around different SEN and strategies of support.
Key requirements of the role of a Graduate LSA:
  • Supporting the learning of the pupils you are working with.
  • Liaise with the class teacher/ SENCo/ HLLAS
  • Assist with the preparation of resources, specifically for the pupil(s) that you are supporting.
  • Be involved in the running of SEN-department led interventions/clubs.
Skills and experience required:
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • University degree level required.
  • Be passionate about supporting students.
  • Be patient, approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
