Job Description

With sales revenues over one billion Euros, operations across five continents, four world-class production facilities, 1200 employees and 70 global brands being sold into more than 80 markets, Asahi International (AIL) delivers incredible consumer value into the category and aims to change the way people think about beer.We are now recruiting a Finance Business Partner role which sits within an AIL subsidiary, Asahi UK Holdings Ltd, who are based at the iconic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick. AHL is our UK based manufacturing, distribution and supply chain business which was formed in April 2019 after AIL acquired the Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC organisation.Your key responsibilities as the Finance Business Partner will include;

  • Works with Manufacturing management to deliver the planning, budgeting & forecasting processes
  • Consolidation, if appropriate, and analysis of site budgets and forecasts
  • Provides analysis and evaluation of the plan, budget & forecast related to its specific area of focus, ensuring the most profitable allocation of resources through financial insights & constructive challenge
  • Challenges and supports the development of the financial assumptions that underpin the Manufacturing site plan
  • Reviews business performance on a monthly basis, understanding variances to budget and challenging the manufacturing team on operational spend
  • Ensures proper accruals are being made each month/quarter so that spends are captured accurately, enabling more accurate forecasting of remaining costs
  • Assists with the capex budgeting process. Accurately forecasts capital spending and depreciation for the development of budgets and long-term plans for capital commitments and expenditures.
  • Accountable for financial capability improvement within the operational teams; identifies and implements opportunities to drive advancement on the capability maturity staircase and project manages associated initiatives
  • Your Ideal background:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) ideally with three years PQE
  • Experience of providing finance partnership to a manufacturing function, with FMCG or drinks sector an advantage
  • Proven track record of presenting financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders, influencing non-financial decision makers & driving improvements through the business
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in presenting, influencing and negotiating with a broad range of audiences
  • Ability to manage a high volume workload and multiple priorities with focus and simplicity
  • Strong Financial technical knowledge covering relevant areas of Finance
  • SAP experience is a positive
