The British Medical Association (BMA) is the professional association and trade union for doctors and medical students in the UK. The BMA speaks for doctors at all stages of their careers and is a leading voice on a wide range of professional and political issues affecting medicine and health.We are looking to recruit a co-ordination and support officer to support the PA/office manager run both the director`s office and the policy directorate efficiently and effectively. Tasks will include maintenance and development of centralised directorate processes; Effective management and timely response to generic policy directorate office inbox; Maintenance of director`s office budget monitoring and logging system; Setting up meetings and supporting the PA/office manager in organising routine directorate meetings (including knowledge sharing sessions, directorate meetings, management meetings, international visits, treasure hunts and more!); Maintain the new starter/induction/buddy process; Ordering office supplies for around 92 directorate staff; Deputising for the PA/office manager when she is on leave, including managing her inbox and the director`s diary.To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised. You must be able to work flexibly and have the practical aptitude to think quickly and respond to demands in a positive manner. In return, you will receive 27 days holiday plus 1 company day and public holidays, double matching pension contributions (up to 12% of salary), season ticket loan (up to £10,000) after completion of probationary period and additional flexible benefits.
