We have 2 positions which are available below:Placement ID 39665 Position 1: 35 hours per week 7.30am - 15.00pm Monday - FridayPlacement ID: 39666 Position 2: 45 hours per week 8.30am - 18.00pm, Friday- TuesdayThis is an opportunity to help to support the LAVA2 study, a study comparing how good lateral flow tests are compared to PCR for diagnosing COVID-19.You will be given training on processing lateral flow tests, good clinical practice around research and using the hospital computer system to record the results.You will either be working in the office next to the COVID-19 swabbing garage, processing the results of children coming for pre-operative tests, or on the daycase admissions lounge. Clinical members of staff will be taking the swabs and you will be asked to process the swabs and record the results in the patients notes.You will need to work well within the clinical team, be meticulous in ensuring that patient specimens are correctly labelled and that the results are correctly recorded for this important research study.System Knowledge:Desirable - Meditech (training can be provided)Alder Hey Childrens Hospital has cared for over 330,000 children, young people, and their families for over 100 years.
