Black Country Womens AidLet us introduce ourselvesBlack Country Womens Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Services range fromadvocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs led.The team:Our womens justice services support women in the criminal justice system, women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, and women who may struggle with mental health issues or drugs and alcohol. We offer a range of help including emotional and practicalsupport, including one-to-one risk and needs assessments, trauma-informed program sessions, like skills and finding safe accommodation. We support women to cope with difficult circumstances and plan a safer future.Job RoleJob Title: Womens Specialist Criminal Justice Practitioner Position available: 1 full-time position (37.5 hours), based across the Black CountrySalary: £24,065 - £25,508.90Closing date: 26 August 2022All interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams.Is this youWe are looking for someone who is dynamic, personal, creative and empathetic to deliver therapeutic group work, undertake one-to-one sessions, community asset building and psycho-social interventions that support and enable people to make positive changes totheir lifestyle.Experience of holding an active caseload is important along with knowledge of case management systems.The Role:We have an exciting opportunity available within our Womens Justice Services. The role of Womens Specialist Criminal Justice Practitioner falls under the Womens Justice Partnership, consisting of BCWA, Changing Lives, Greensquare Accord and ANAWIM.This role requires the successful candidate to work within a dynamic team in order to meet the needs of women who present with multiple disadvantage whilst in the criminal justice system. The successful candidate will support the enforcement of the probationservice who are co-located with, whilst also delivering support sessions either on a 1:1 or within a group setting.The successful candidate will be based between our head office in West Bromwich and our Office in Jewellery Quarter, however, may be required to travel to other sites across the region in order to support our partner agencies.If you are self-driven, conscientious, hardworking with lots of ambition we would love to hear from you.Important information for all positionsBlack Country Womens Aid is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults, children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.All posts are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
