Pertemps are recruiting a Supply Chain Manager to join one of the UKs leading Asian Food Companies located in West Bromwich.This is rare and genuine permanent job opportunity to work with a thriving family run business aiming to reach £1billion in global sales.Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain your primary role will be to minimise cost and maximise service throughout the supply chain via effective management, coordination, and control of imports, planning and customer service functions.Principal Responsibilities:Imports" Effective management and control of imports function - focusing on cost reduction and forward inbound visibility" Development and deployment of suitable KPIs covering cost and service" Continue to develop/coach team as an integrated end to end supply chain teamPlanning/Supply Chain" Effective management and control of Supply Chain Planning function - focusing on service, capacity and stock holding management" Management of MPS/MRP process" Management of S&OP process" Development and deployment of suitable KPIs pertaining to service, stock holding and capacity" Supply Chain Invoices validation/checking/approval/accountability" Effective management and control of order entry/customer service team - focusing on service and communicationRoles Deliverable:Imports" Process mapping current Imports process to better understand costs/opportunities for improvement" Implement weekly cost review of detailed imports spend" Detention / Demurrage" Freight Tracking" Clearance Costs" Implement a single source inbound schedule (Currently split between Procurement and Import)" Work with inbound team, to better understand devanning opportunities (increased safety and efficiency)Planning (Inc. Supply Chain Coordinator)" Develop robust 4 week manufacturing plan" Continue to develop and review EOQ - allowing most efficient, cost effective replenishment execution" Agree/Implement/maintain customer service measure (outside of OTIF)Generic" Implement technology (including training) to enable function to operate effectively and efficiently" Manage holiday cover, ensuring inbound volumes are not adversely affected in times of holiday" Ensure back to work/sickness protocol/reporting is adhered toRequired Knowledge, Skills & Experience:" Analytical" Proven record in supply chain management" People skills - coaching/mentoringHours of work are 08:00am to 5pm Mon to Fri.Remuneration package to include a starting salary up to £50k33 Days Holiday per annumSuccessful applicant must be willing to travel to other UK sites and stop overnight when requiredFirst interviews will be conducted by a Video Conference Call………..Immediate start available
