Job Description

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an organisation based in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team as a Governance Professional.Summary Acting as the lead professional in the delivery of a clerking service to school governing boards.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Offering efficient administrative support
  • Assisting school boards by ensuring they receive information promptly, accurately record challenges, decisions, and follow-up actions
  • Setting up, overseeing, and evaluating systems to ensure the quality of board documents
  • Taking and producing accurate minutes
  • Collaborating with the Board for future planning and compliance
  • Offering professional guidance and stepping in when needed during meetings
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships
Skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • People management skills
  • Knowledge of using a range of ICT packages
  • Must be able to travel to various locations throughout the West Midlands
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the Service (including some evening work)
Package and benefits
  • 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term-Time
  • £26,169 - £30,834 pro-rata (£15,573-£18,750 based on 25 hours in term time)
  • 5 days leave + school holidays
  • Flexible/hybrid working with laptop and mobile phone provided
  • Mileage for travel to meetings
  • West Midlands Pension Fund
