Quality Control Lab Technician - Manufacturing & Distribution - West Bromwich- Salary £24,000- £26,000 DOEAbout the CompanyOur client is an established and growing manufacturer and distributor of industrial and speciality gases for a wide range of industrial applications. Part of a growing international group the business is looking or a Quality Control Lab Technician who willbe responsible for ongoing check to ensure the quality of the cylinders and the gases within.Quality Control Lab Technician - The Rewards

  • Quality Control Lab Technician - Requirements
  • Experience of lab work or lab support within an industrial, manufacturing setting essential.
  • Studied Chemistry to A-Level (minimum)
  • Previous use of Gas Chromatography desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work accurately under pressure of time.
  • Strong communication and IT skills
Quality Control Lab Technician - Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the lab, work area and colleagues operate safely and within guidelines to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Maintenance of the laboratory, the equipment and calibration of analysers.
  • Creating records relating to the calibration of equipment and checking
  • Analysis of both disposable and refillable cylinders for chemical composition using the Gas Chromatograph.
  • Liaise with other internal departments to report quality results and changes needed in a timely manner.
  • Accurate completion of compliance documentation.
  • Support audits (internal or customer) as required.
  • • Use of pallet or forklift trucks to move product around.
