Sector: Civil Engineering, HighwaysAn award-winning company are looking for a Project Manager to work within their Midlands SDF region, dealing with projects around Birmingham on the M5 and M6 Motorways. We are looking for aPM, preferablypost-graduatelevel - although HNC or HND Civilsqualificationswould be equally welcome. Ideally, the candidatewillhave several yearswork experiencein civil engineeringwith a contractor on site and in a Site Manager or PM role.Experience of overseeing subcontractors, managing quality control and QAis essential asis the ability to understand programming logic and potentiallyhave abilityin Project Programming software. You will have experience of overseeing a cohesive site teamand report monthly at Progress Meetingsrepresenting CRL and the works site has completed to date.You will be able to forecast works, have a good understanding of working on NEC based projects implementing EWNs and CEs, have ability tomanage change and seek out all commercial opportunities that either present themselves or that you can seek out.Recordingall events on site inthe various recording mediums for as built informationis an imperative. You will need to be able to take control and be responsible for everything that happens on site and have a goodsafety-basedknowledge of how to execute the work.Other duties will includeliaison with senior management as well asourclient and you will be able to report upwards to line managers in a calm, authoritative,organisedand logical manner.Knowledge of the type of works CRL undertake will be an advantagebutalternatively,good experience in a broad number of civilsdisciplines will be needed to manage both direct and agency operatives as well as subcontractors working under you.Offering:
