Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical FitterLocation:West BromwichPay Range/details: Market relatedContract Type: PermanentOur client are looking for an experienced Mechanical fitter who will be responsible for building, refurbishing and maintaining specialised equipment for the water & wastewater industry.Key Responsibilities –Mechanical Fitter

  • Build specialised equipment from details contained in general arrangement drawings, instructions and parts lists as provided. Complete any required associated documentation.
  • Liaise with, and take advice from, the Engineering department to complete work to requirements.
  • Feedback improvement ideas to the Engineering Department.
  • General housekeeping.
Qualifications & Requirements –Mechanical Fitter
  • Previous experience of working within the Water Treatment Industry would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Use of power tools and machinery such as drills, pedestal grinders and punch tools.
  • Experiance of working in a mechanical/fitting/maintenance role.
  • Current/Previous Fork truck licence is essential. (Refresher course provided where licence has expired).
  • Experience in cranage and a variety of lifting equipment is required.
