Job Description

Onsite IT Support. Helpdesk, 1 line support, technical support £23-25k, 3 month contract, West Brom driving licence essentialFancy working with a global businessEnjoy IT Supportread onRight now, we are recruiting a temporary Onsite IT Support personnel to join the team in West Bromwich on a three-month contact.The IT team is an integrated part of operations globally. Their mission is to drive and support process harmonisation with optimal IT solutions and at the same time reduce the fragmentation of IT systems.Delivering IT services in approx. 50 countries and for more than 17,000 employees globally the mission is to provide a high level of end user satisfaction. The global team is working in 21 countries and covers all geographical regions. The Onsite IT Support role will need to gather the facts of the IT Issue, classify incidents, respond, provide support, triage calls based on specific support needed and achieve the successful resolution of the IT issue within established SLAs. The role isbased on a 37.5-hour week, however flexibility in working hours and work locations will be required to support our end users, i.e. there may be a requirement to spend time away from your home base in the UK or Europe. So as the Onsite IS Support what will you be doing

  • Assisting in providing Level I Support, such as perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Assist with major IT projects, including software releases and roll-outs.
  • Training of users, deliver IT Induction to new employees, developing FAQs and help sheets.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of assets, as well as evaluating documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent future problems.
As the Onsite IT Support what do we need you to have
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Personal computer management skills
  • Basic Office 365 experience
  • Understanding of networks
  • Ability to share IT knowledge and train people at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • You will be fluent in using English as a working language, both written and verbal
  • A second European language is beneficial, but not essential
  • Full Driving Licence
