Our client is an independent oil, chemical and fluid distributor. Established for over 30 years and still owned by the same individual as the day it was founded, they are a forward thinking business growing even during these challenging times.With depots in the South East, the West Midlands, the North West and the North East they are ideally situated for supplying the majority of the UK market.Selling lubricants, chemicals and fluid equipment, the role will be office based and you will be provided with full, ongoing training covering internal policies and systems, technical product knowledge and sales training. Whilst this is primarily a salesrole, you will also be given training on Business Administration to ensure you are not only aware of how the organisation is run, but that you are fully integrated with the whole team, not just the sales department.You will be given full support by your line manager, other group managers & Directors, and your surrounding colleagues to ensure you are confident in your role. Though you will eventually be expected to source your own sales leads, you will also be givenqualified prospects to begin working with along with a small existing customer portfolio.Day to Day Duties;- Answering inbound phone calls- Providing quotations and processing orders- Making proactive outbound telesales calls to prospects and existing customers- Contacting existing customers to manage relationships and cross-sell other products- Tending to trade counter customer and enquiries- Supporting the Depot Manager with sales related administrative tasks- Ensuring accountability of your customer portfolio e.g. maintaining and growing profit marginsBenefits & Development;- Competitive salary, pay reviews and bonuses based on experience and contribution- 20 days statutory holiday plus 8 bank holidays (3 of the 20 days to be reserved for the Christmas Period)- Responsibility to manage a customer portfolio eventually leading to commission incentives- Ongoing sales training, CRM training & product trainingRequirements;- Full UK driving licence- Sales or retail experience (in any environment)- Ability to work both as part of a team but also independently- Ability to plan your own day, be organised and take responsibility for your own tasks- Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and general IT skillsIf you are looking to join a friendly, motivated and growing company and wish to have a lucrative career in sales, send us your CV!Starting Salary £22,000 p/a + dependent on experienceBenefits:Employee discountOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to Friday, 8.30 - 5pm with 30 mins lunch
