Black Country Womens AidLet us introduce ourselvesBlack Country Womens Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. Services range fromadvocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support, and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs led.The team:The specialist stalking and harassment advisory and support service operates across the West Midlands area, supporting women and men over the age of 16 in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, and the Black Country (Sandwell, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley). Weprovide tailored emotional and practical support, safety advice, and advocacy through the criminal justice system within a multiagency framework to ensure that victims of stalking feel supported and empowered.Our specialist team of dedicated advocates support each other, sharing expertise and delivering a holistic and trauma-informed approach. Job RoleJob Title: Independent Stalking Advocacy Caseworker (ISAC)Position available: 1 full-time position (37.5 hours), covering Birmingham based at our West Bromwich or Walsall officesSalary: £19,968Closing date: 12 pm on Friday 3rd September 2021All interviews will be held via Microsoft TeamsIs this youWe are seeking an Independent Stalking Advocacy Caseworker to join our supportive Stalking Support Service. We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven candidate who has experience of supporting adults who have experienced abuse.This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with adults and managing a caseload.The Role:Our specialist ISACs support victims of stalking using evidence-based methods in order to identify risk, stalking typology, and support needs. They provide practical guidance and safety advice to those experiencing elements of harassment and stalking, referringto relevant agencies when required.You will work as part of a growing, multi-skilled team but have the confidence to work one to one. Providing advocacy, being the victims voice in meetings with other agencies will also be an important part of the ISACs role.
