Job Description

We are recruiting a Road Freight Export/Import Operator to work for a client based in West Bromwich.The position will work alongside and support Operations SupervisorThe main duties will be:

  • Dealing with customers from all over the UK generating quotations
  • Negotiating with customers to get a better price.
  • Dealing with a wide range of entries including Home Use, IPR, OPR
  • Working with Commodity Codes / Incoterms
  • Raising EADs, T forms, IDR documents for all export and import shipments.
  • Dealing with all types of day to day administration
  • Be first point of contact for the customers.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
  • Experience working in Freight Industry - Road Freight- FTL / PTL / Groupage
  • Must be experienced/knowledge of both road import/ export process start to finish.
  • Must be experienced/knowledge of liaising with hauliers, negotiating rates, preparing quotations.
  • Must be experienced/knowledge of handling documentation including commercial invoices, DGN and COO
  • Must have knowledge of Collections and distribution within the UK.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • A strong work ethic and an enthusiastic nature.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a thriving team is essential.
