Job Description

Fantastic role based in West Bromwich, with weekly travel to Cardiff. Working as HR Business Partner and reporting into the lead HR BP, you will be working with key stakeholders within logistics and operations to providing guidance and direction on all aspects of the HR strategy.You will be required to work in the office 5 days a week Monday to Friday. There may be times you will need to start a little early or stay late as the site runs 24 hours/7 Days a week.As HR Business partner you will be

  • Providing support, coaching and training to line managers in the recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees.
  • Providing support to line managers with employee relations activities including grievances, disciplinary meetings and wage negotiations.
  • Working with line managers to consistently manage attendance including absence management, engaging with Occupational Health where necessary.
  • Coaching line managers in performance management, identifying learning and development needs, creating appropriate training solutions.
  • Developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders including the wider HR team, the HR Admin Centre and Payroll teams, ensuring input deadlines are met and SLAs adhered to.
This is a truly generalist HR role and the ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work at pace with passion, enthusiasm, tenacity and resilience. Other requirements include:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and CIPD qualified (minimum level 5).
  • Proven HR generalist experience, ideally within an FMCG/logistics/operatons environment.
  • Experience gained working with Trade Unions is advantageous.
  • The ability to build effective relationships, and the credibility to lead and influence management.
