Job Description

As one of the UKs largest independent manufacturers supplying to the commercial sector my client manufactures fine chemicals and rubber accelerators and has a history spanning over 150 years. With their headquarters in West Bromwich, they are true pioneerswithin the chemicals industry.With strategic expansion plans, an opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Supervisor to join their team in West Bromwich and support within a lower tier COMAH facility.Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you an exciting next step of your careerWorking within a small team of talented Electrical Engineers, you will take ownership of the Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment.The key responsibilities for your new role are as follows:

  • Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment.
  • Carrying out PPM schedules and planned work orders, as required.
  • Using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Using and interpreting equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
  • Assisting visiting specialist Engineers, when necessary.
  • Planning and prioritising workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
  • Assisting with the moving, installation, repositioning equipment.
  • Completing statutory inspections.
  • The ability to mentor and train staff when/where required.
My client is keen to hear from people who possess an Electrical based Apprenticeship with City and Guilds (or similar qualification), Ideally with the 18th edition electrical wiring regulations and MEWPs and Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualifications wouldbe desirable, although is not a necessity. However, you must have at least 5 years experience in an Industrial environment and have extensive knowledge of industrial electrical equipment.Career development will be possible with both internal and external training available.Regardless of previous expertise, you will be both motivated and pragmatic, by nature, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.In return, my client is offering a salary of £40,000-£45,000, their excellent benefits package includes 25 days holiday and death in service benefit.The company are easily accessible from West Bromwich, Oldbury, Tipton, Dudley, Wednesbury, Smethwick and the surrounding areas and the area offers sensibly priced accommodation and a variety of lifestyle options to suite every taste.If this Electrical Supervisor role is of interest to you, please apply online.
