Job Description

A major company in the West Bromwich area is recruiting for a Driver/Technician to demonstrate and collect equipment to and from customers,suppliersprofessionally, safely on time.About the Role:

  • Carry out deliveries/collections as allocated to you by your line manager.
  • Demonstration of equipment on site.
  • When requested, liaise with the customers on site ensuring that they have the required knowledge
  • and skill set to install/operate/use the equipment
  • Carry out vehicle checks every morning i.e. oil and water levels are sufficient, lights are working
  • and tyres have the legal tread, ensuring the van is clean and tidy.
  • Ensure company vehicles are driven safely and in accordance with UK law at all times
  • Accurate completion of paperwork.
  • Support the branch with equipment returns/triage.
  • PAT Test/Tool Minder equipment to ensure it is safe for use.
  • Test & Run of core product lines and specialist line items dependent upon Depot/Cost Centre
  • Alerting your line manager to new sites/potential new customers
  • When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties
  • considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.
The Must-Haves:
  • Basic numeracy, IT and literacy skills
  • Category B and E driving licence essential
  • Knowledge of the local area
  • Flexibility
