Job Description

School HR Assistant required for a Secondary School in BrentSchool HR Assistant required in BrentAt Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff in all roles for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic School HR Assistant to work full-time in a secondary school in Brent. Our team has built an excellentreputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality office staff to work with these schools.About the role:The working hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 35 hours a week, 8am - 4pm (start/finish times can be negotiated).As the HR Assistant you will be working as part of a close-knit team that works hard together to ensure the smooth running of the entire school.

  • To be responsible for all administrative duties within the HR department
  • Work with Head of HR to administer DBS records for all staff and volunteers, reminding staff that checks are due, carrying out Update Service checks as appropriate and checking and verifying supporting documents and maintaining the Single Central Record.
  • Providing in-house training and workshops to assist others in understanding HR requirements where appropriate;
  • Providing support and advice efficiently and effectively in all areas of Human Resources (HR) including but not limited to the areas of recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management and reviews, grievances and dispute resolutionand change management, consistent with legislation and Trust’s approved policies.
The ideal applicant will have:
  • Experience of working in a school
  • Experience working within HR
  • CIPD level 3 qualified
  • Experience utilising SIMS (School Information Management System) within an administrative role.
