Job Description

Teaching Assistants and LSAsTeaching Assistant and LSAs - January 2024 start - Contract to Permanent post with expectation to progress onto teacher training in 2024 - £80 - £115 p/day - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, Interview days November & December 2023! Teaching Assistants are highly valued members of the team here providing vital support and guidance to our students.Rated Good by Ofsted, we are proud of our achievements and the positive impact we have on our students lives and are able to offer a range of progression options for those interested in further development.

  • Teaching Assistants - TAs and Learning Support Assistants - LSAs required to work across this supportive and collaborative school.
  • Fixed term contract to permanent post with the opportunity to focus on areas of interest EG ASD, Sports, Psychology, SEMH or a specific academic subject
  • Open to recent Graduates and TAs, LSAs looking for progression and an opportunity to join a school on a permanent basis.
The schoolHaving been in post since 218 the Head teacher is proud of the schools continued and progressive improvement and is already working towards Outstanding. With a consistent approach and slight adjustments she has improved the schools reputation to the pointthey are now oversubscribed and increasing their intake. The SLT team here are established and work hard to ensure teaching standards remain high and behaviour is monitored and addressed quickly if required. With a new behaviour policy and an in-school Housesystem, the school focuses on promoting positive reinforcement and student engagement.Role requirements
  • A positive and upbeat mindset
  • Recent degree - any subject and grade considered
  • Experience teaching abroad or with young people or tuition is an advantage but not essential
  • Training is available via Tradewinds TA school and partnership with the National College for Teachers
  • Superb communication skills with a strong academic background are required
