Job Description

Why are we recruitingWe are passionate about the technologies we use and build at PayPoint. Many of these applications are used to monitor and support all IT services within PayPoint. Our Service Operations department now has an opportunity to join the team in assisting with the delivery of IT Services and to make sure operations are running smoothly throughout the course of the day and night. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to get their first exposure into IT Service Operations if this is a career direction they would like to explore.Who are we We have been around since 1996. You will be able to find us in most convenience stores so take a look next time you go to your corner shop. We have different payment services ranging from bill payments to card services and ATM’s. PayPoint manages £15 billion worth of transactions every year, for over 6,000 clients. We are proud of these numbers and are looking for your help to continue to grow.What will you be doingYou will be working on various shifts to facilitate 24x7x365 support. These shifts will be office based primarily but you many need to be flexible and work remotely due to the current climate.You will monitor PayPoint services and identify any impact to our customers by escalating this to the correct team and be responsible for the incident management process. You will also need to understand the needs of internal and external customers, make quick decisions at any given time and be confident in working towards a limited time frame to resolve any issues. Attention to detail is key in this role as there will be an element of recording scheduled and unscheduled tasks onto the service management system within a given time frame. You will also provide first line support for any facilities related issues at primary and secondary sites outside normal hoursWhat would we like from youExperience across Windows environmentsStrong communication skills both technical and non-technicalThe ability to work together as a cross functional teamIt would be great if you already have…A recognized qualification in a IT/Computer ScienceGood understanding of monitoring tools including Solarwinds, SCOM, Splunk or App DynamicsAn interest in the ITIL frameworkAny experience with ServiceNow.What can we do for youYou can expect a rewarding experience working with us in our head office in Welwyn Garden City Working in our Service Operations teams.
