Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst ( ACA / CIMA / ACCA ) to join an iconic UK brand in the Leisure industry. Provide day-to-day support to the Head of FP&A, primarily concentrating on retail revenue & margin analysis, analyse tactical initiativesthat will drive commercial revenue and provide insight into under/over performance of retail revenues across the business.This role will report to the Head of FP&A. It is expected that you come to the office two times per week.Whats the purpose of the job

  • Collaborate with the Head of FP&A to ensure that there is a robust forecast process for all commercial revenue lines.
  • Manage two commercial analysts and drive first class reporting and analysis to the business.
  • Business Partner the Directors in driving commercial performance in their areas.
  • Own the modelling, monitoring of performance and communication of retail forecasts and Budgets ensuring they are achievable, communicated effectively, and in line with expectations.
  • Analyse margin and identify best in class performance across all retail revenue lines and roll out via FBPs/support any improvement plans in poor performing areas.
  • Understand and explain margin variances across all retail lines to Heads of Retail Departments, ensuring focus on profit conversion is considered as significant as revenue growth.
  • Provide modelling and analysis on new revenue streams.
  • Assist in the retail pricing process with Head of Revenue Management, FBPs & operational teams.
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis/tasks as required by the Head of FP&A.
  • Work with reporting services to ensure all retail reporting across the business is accurate, timely and fit for purpose, servicing the needs of all stakeholders.

  • Commercial forecasts will stand up to benchmarking review
  • Retail league tables will become compressed with fewer outliers
  • Recognized as the go-to person for commercial analytics and reporting
What qualifications, skills and experience do I need
  • Ability to influence a wide section of the business to deliver important business initiatives.
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability supported by a relevant Accounting qualification.
  • Experience of working in a multi-site company, having an appreciation that each location is different.
  • Ability to work across several different work streams on an ongoing basis.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver the key messages from a significant amount of data
