Job Description

  • Peripatetic Registered Healthcare Professional - Draw up and Clinical Assessment
  • Fixed term contract until August 2021 with the possibility of an extension beyond that
  • Salary – NHS AfC Band 6 - £31,365 – £37,890 (depending on experience) per annum, pro rata
  • In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,034 and a maximum payment of £1,791 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
  • Flexible hours available
  • Please see below a summary of some of the duties you will be carrying out:
  • You will be a peripatetic worker, initially based at Roche in Welwyn Garden City and travelling across our Vaccination sites in Hertfordshire and West Essex as needed.
  • Travel over 30 minutes will be paid at your hourly rate
  • Complete training as required
  • Configure the vaccination pod and vaccination station
  • Clinical assessment pre-vaccination
  • Offer specialist advice
  • Draw up the vaccines/vaccinate
  • Observe patient post-vaccination and manage adverse reactions response
  • Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Registered Health Care Professional e.g. NMC for nurses, GPhC for pharmacists etc.
  • Current immunisation training / update or willingness to undertake.
  • Being able to drive with access to a car for work would be useful although there are static opportunities too and we can offer flexible hours to fit your individual circumstances.As an NHS employee you will enjoy the following benefits:
