Job Description

Rate: £11.60 per hour plus mileage paid Duration: 12-month rolling contractHours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMAre you looking for a new opportunity in Retail We are currently working with one of the UKs biggest retailers to recruit a Shopper to support with their ongoing market research and development projects. This is an opportunity to work with a major brandname and progress within the company and would be well suited to individuals who enjoy working independently, and enjoy a role that takes them away from a desk and out into the field.Job SummaryAs a Shopper, you will be responsible for researching and purchasing a variety of products from retailers within a 20-mile radius from Welwyn. You will be responsible for the planning and sourcing of set products from competitors to bring back for pricingand quality analysis. You may be required to record pricing, offers and presentation of products using a mobile phone. You will also be responsible for the safe handling and storage of food products, both chilled and frozen.Accountabilities:

  • Purchase samples for product reviews and submissions.
  • Support the business with accurate comparisons on other brands in the market.
  • Manage your company card and receipts responsibly.
  • Advocate for the brand, actively participating in internal and external events.
  • Maintain product knowledge through relevant training opportunities.
  • Update trackers and communicate issues to the team.
  • Plan your workday for optimum efficiency.
  • Use your mobile to take photos in-store.
  • Adhere to food hygiene regulations, conduct quality checks, and report issues.
Requirements for the Role:
