Job Description

Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties is excited to be supporting a global medium sized business who continue to thrive and prosper. Due to continued growth, there is a need to add a motivated and self-starting Management Accountant to the team.The role of the Management Accountant is to support the Financial Controller in the management of the finances of the main trading group and other entities managed out of the UK.Responsibilities;

  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts for various companies, with particular focus on sales, margins, rebates commissions particularly inventory valuation.
  • Manage the month end cycle, posting accruals and prepayments, calculating and posting depreciation, calculating provisions, ensuring accounts are reconciled.
  • The role is responsible for managing the financial aspects of Navision systems for all UK companies.
  • Prepare and submit all VAT, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, HMRC returns.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Monthly Intercompany Reconciliations
  • Co-ordinate the Annual Audit for the UK Group.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure the integrity of the Companys financial information.
  • Review of results, preparing commentary thereon and investigation of variances to budget and prior year.
  • Document processes for the key tasks in the department.
    • Qualifications and experience;
  • Strong IT and System skills including Excel (Pivot Tables/Queries).
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with some post qualified experience.
  • Comfortable working with auditors, bankers and senior management.
  • Ability to challenge the management and put in place business improvements.
  • Experience with stock or rebates or import/export would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision Dynamics would be an advantage.
