Job Description

Merrifield Consultants are thrilled to partner with Isabel Hospice to find their new In Memory and Legacy Officer. Isabel Hospice are a wonderful charity which provides free palliative care and support for patients and their families across Eastern Hertfordshire.Isabel Hospice strive to deliver outstanding services to inpatients and their families through their dedicated staff and passionate volunteers.Job Title: In Memory & Legacy Officer Organisation: Isabel Hospice Salary: £30,000-£32,000Contract: Permanent, Full-timeClosing Date: Friday 9th November 2022Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire (At least 2 days in the office)Required: CV and Cover LetterKey Responsibilities

  • Campaign manage a portfolio of Legacy and In Memory activities using a mix of channels including direct mail and digital, with all stakeholders, to meet agreed objectives and making recommendations for future testing and development.
  • Manage the creative development of the campaign and brief internal team on creative approach.
  • Based upon results and analysis, determine the most appropriate audience for the campaign, whether new or existing and prepare the mailing list selection.
  • Brief the Supporter Care Team to run data counts and selections as appropriate, to ensure targets are met and data is accurate.
  • Research into projects, case studies, production methods and other charities approaches to feed into the creative process.
  • Ensure that all permissions for photography, case studies and all other material are gained before final sign-off and communicate with individual case studies sensitively and appropriately.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent team working and project management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clear and accurate writing skills and copy editing
  • Ability to work to a detailed level, while prioritising and organising your own workload and brief others
  • Ability to develop a campaign strategy
  • Good office skills, including a thorough knowledge of word processing and spread sheets
