Job Description

Contract: PermanentLocation: Welwyn Garden CityHours:Mon - FriBrief Introduction to the Company:Our client is one of the largest poultry producers and importers in Europe. They have just opened their new trading office in the UK and growing rapidly in the area. The new position became available for an experienced Import Coordinator. You will join theteam of four people who will run the business in the UK with the support of Head-offices in Europe. Ideal candidate will have experience in working in Food industry, and has understanding of Brexit implications. You are type of person, who requires minimalinstructions to organise work and perform to the set targets. Its a great timing to join the early stage of this rapidly growing trading office in the UK, and grow with it!Job description:Responsibilities include organising import operations from EU and non EU countries, to the UK ensuring that they are carried out effectively and efficiently. Import Coordinator coordinates the transportation of commodities and products and makes sure thatall the commodities and products have been customs cleared properly and on time.Key Responsibilities of Import Coordinator:

  • Participation in creation of quarter and monthly plans and schedules for imported goods from Ukraine and EU.
  • Coordination of exports-imports flows of poultry products from UA to UK and through the EU to UK.
  • Confirmation of inbound deliveries in SAP (containers, trucks) on daily/weekly basis.
  • Confirmation of import transactions, preparing and sending clearance instructions to customs clearance brokers on daily/weekly basis ex SAP. Making sure, that all related transactions are accomplished accurately.
  • Control and coordination of customs clearance of inbound containers and trucks.
  • Data entry on IPAFFS.
  • Controlling and coordinating customs clearance of frozen products on stock (if stored bonded).
  • Control accuracy of agrim certificates qty balance in the Balance List on daily basis. Making entries about customs clearance in agrim certificates Balance List on daily basis (import declaration numbers, clearance dates, net weight, etc)
  • Saving and storing all import documents in good order: T-1, CHED-P, C88, etc.
- Stakeholder management (customs broker, warehouse, logistics),- Checking invoices from Forwarding Agencies / Logistics Service Providers for import and customs clearance services.Soft Skills:

Educational Qualifications and Hard Skills Required:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the relevant field such as supply chain, customs, logistics
  • Higher Education (Economics, Supply Chain, International Trade)
  • SAP HANA or other ERP system
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
