A growing and vibrant events business with a friendly team are looking for a Finance Manager to join their small team on a maternity cover contract. You will be responsible for producing accurate Management Accounts including variance analysis on forecastto budget and financial accounting reports.Main responsibilities for the Finance Manager will be:* Preparation and presentation of Monthly Management Accounts and other reports requested by the board or MD / Chairman* Responsibility of all month end processes, balance sheet account reconciliations, payment of invoices and payroll including the preparation and posting of journals and nominal posting (including accruals, prepayments, and deferred income)* Work closely with the budget holders to manage the PO database and event budgets to ensure no unauthorised spends occur* Manage the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger process* Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts* Oversee and support 2 Finance staff, 1 Accounts Assistant and 1 Credit Controller* Work closely with the wider business on decision making by providing financial information for those decisionsYou will:* Be AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA or CIMA* Have a flexible and adaptable approach and be able to roll your sleeves up to get stuck in* Have strong attention to detail* Have previously worked for a small business* Ideally have worked within events, hospitality or retail previously***XERO is essential On offer:* Salary of £45,000-£50,000* Working with a friendly team* Free parking* A fun business to work with and you get to attend the events!If you are interested in this Finance Manager role and feel you have the relevant attributes please apply!
