DATA BUSINESS ANALYSTWELWYN GARDEN CITYDURATION: 12 MONTH CONTRACTPontoon has an exciting opportunity for a Data Business Analyst to join our retail Client based in Welwyn Garden City on a 6 month contract initially. My client is a blue chip FMCG and retail brand that serve millions of customers every week from all over the globe. With over 6,000 stores internationally my client are a well known household name that offer a number of exciting opportunities.About the role:My client has identified the need to define and implement a People and Finance Data Vision and Strategy in 2020 - to realise people and finance data as an asset. The vision will focus on the key data topics of data governance, data management and data deployment (including reporting and analytics). Responsibilities:* document and GAP analyse existing data management practices and operations (inc. necessary stakeholder workshops)* define and deliver a data vision and an associated data strategy to People, Finance and Technology leaderships, for approval* With stakeholders at all levels:* raise awareness of data management need and good data management practice* increase understanding of data management practices and benefits* gain commitment to data management collaboration and partnership* improve data governance, data management and data deployment through increased data effectiveness, efficiency and insightExperience Required:* business analysis across people, finance and technology business services including workshop facilitation* operating model design and implementation* able to describe and define the key elements of a data management standard* utilising data management, monitoring and reporting technologies ranging from MS Excel through database implementation, and data lineage tools (e.g Ab Initio), data warehousing and lakes (e.g. Hadoop) technologies) * data reporting and data analytics* able to fully utilise the MS Office suite deliver supporting materials* excellent verbal and written communication skillsCandidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.Pontoon is an employment consultancy and operates as an equal opportunitys employer Required skills
