Job Description

This is a small-ish company with regards to staff in the office. There are a number of engineers out on the road and the company is doing well in their niche field. They have been a client of mine for many years and I know that people joining them enjoyworking there. The hours of work will be full time, 34 hours a week. The salary and benefits will be at the high end and we are looking for someone fairly local.This is a full on role, working with all supporting all areas of the business and, as such, a very important role. You will be supporting project, sales, service and warehouse areas and reporting directly to the Managing Director.The role will involve various tasks on a day to day and also less frequent basis including: collate, prepare and proofread quotations accurately and to tight guidelines as well as all aspects of project/service documentation; matching invoices to goods/servicesordered ready for payment; reconciling and investigating discrepancies; payment chasing; monitoring project performance to ensure delivery timelines and costs by liaising with stakeholders; general office administration and ad hoc duties to support our MDand team as required.We are looking for the following characteristics and experiences:

  • Resilience, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and make decisions to achieve project objectives
  • Good eye for detail, with a calm, methodical and organised approach to work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal - French/Swiss language skills would be desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Good IT skills - Microsoft Office at a reasonable level.
  • Knowledge of Xero would be an advantage but that and other systems can easily be taught
